Essas contrações atingem diversos músculos da face, incluindo o músculo orbicular, que controla o abrir e o fechar dos olhos. Há animais, nos quais a pressão osmótica do meio interno varia em função da pressão osmótica do meio externo - osmoconformantes. Outros são osmorreguladores, pois têm a capacidade de controlar a pressão osmótica interna face a variações de pressão osmótica externa.&lt;/span&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"&gt;O metabolismo celular dá origem a produtos de excreção que têm de ser expelidos, de forma a não comprometerem a sobrevivência das células de todo o organismo.&lt;br /&gt;Nos animais, o equilíbrio dinâmico do meio interno é mantido devido às actividades coordenadas do sistema circulatório, nervoso e endócrino (hormonal). Neste processo, estão envolvidos órgãos como os rins, pulmões, as brânquias e o sistema digestivo.&lt;br /&gt;A manutenção do equilíbrio da água e de sais no organismo designa-se osmorregulação. baseia-se na existência de um gradiente de concentração de sacarose entre os órgãos produtores e os órgãos consumidores ou de armazenamento.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: trebuchet ms; text-align: justify;"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;ul style="text-align: justify; font-family: trebuchet ms;"&gt;&lt;li&gt;A glicose é convertida em sacarose no mesofilo, antes de chegar ao floema;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;ul style="text-align: justify; font-family: trebuchet ms;"&gt;&lt;li&gt;Por transporte activo a sacarose passa para as células companhia (que produzem energia) e destas para os tubos crivosos (através das conexões plasmáticas);&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;ul style="text-align: justify; font-family: trebuchet ms;"&gt;&lt;li&gt;À medida que aumenta a concentração de sacarose no floema, aumenta também a pressão osmótica, em relação aos tecidos circundantes (xilema e parênquima);&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;ul style="text-align: justify; Constitui um dos modelos mais aceites para explicar o transporte de seiva xilémica.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;p style="font-family: trebuchet ms; text-align: justify;"&gt;A ascensão da seiva xilémica é explicada pela dinâmica criada por dois fenómenos relacionados: a transpiração estomática a nível foliar e a absorção radicular. A energia solar é a principal responsável pela transpiração, pondo em movimento ascendente a coluna de água e solutos. É a maneira de expressar as relações de alimentação entre os &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;color:#000000;"&gt;organismos&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;color:#000000;"&gt; de uma &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;color:#000000;"&gt;comunidade&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;color:#000000;"&gt;/ecossistema, iniciando-se nos &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;color:#000000;"&gt;produtores&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;color:#000000;"&gt; e passando para os consumidores (&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;color:#000000;"&gt;herbívoros&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;color:#000000;"&gt;, &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;color:#000000;"&gt;predadores&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;color:#000000;"&gt;) e &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;color:#000000;"&gt;decompositores&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;color:#000000;"&gt;, por esta ordem. A transferência de nutrientes fecha-se com o retorno dos nutrientes aos produtores, possibilitado pelos decompositores que transformam a matéria orgânica dos cadáveres e excrementos em compostos mais simples, pelo que falamos de um ciclo de transferência de nutrientes. A energia, por outro lado, é utilizada por todos os seres que se inserem na cadeia alimentar para sustentar as suas funções, diminuindo ao longo da cadeia alimentar (perde-se na forma de calor),não sendo reaproveitável. A e&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;color:#000000;"&gt;nergia tem portanto um percurso aciclico. Ainda se conhece pouco sobre a biodiversidade do planeta, mas no entanto calcula-se que existam entre 10 a 20 milhões de espécies, das quais só 10% estão estudadas a nível científico.&lt;br /&gt;O principal impacto da perda da biodiversidade é a extinção das espécies que são irrecuperáveis.O Homem é o principal responsável da perda da biodiversidade. As espécies têm sido exterminadas de maneira muito rápida pela acção humana, com uma taxa de extermínio 50 a 100 vezes superior aos índices de extinção por causa natural.&lt;br /&gt;Exemplos da acção do homem e suas consequências na biodiversidade do planeta: &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Eliminação ou alteração do habitat pelo homem -&lt;/strong&gt; é o principal factor da diminuição da biodiversidade. A eliminação de vegetação local para construção de casas ou para actividades agropecuárias altera o meio ambiente. Em média, 90% das espécies extintas acabaram em consequência da destruição de seu habitat;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Super-exploração comercial -&lt;/strong&gt; ameaça muitas espécies marinhas e algumas terrestres;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Poluição das águas, solo e ar -&lt;/strong&gt; A totalidade dos fósseis e sua colocação nas formações rochosas e camadas sedimentares é conhecido como registo fóssil. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"&gt;A ciência que estuda os fósseis é a Paleontologia. ilha Luzon, nas Filipinas, na intersecção das fronteiras das províncias de Zambales, Bataan, e Pampanga.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="color:#cc66cc;"&gt;Tipo de vulcão/vulcanismo:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt; é um estrato-vulcão activo. Tem forma cónica, com uma pequena cratera no cume e flancos íngremes, contruío pela intercalação de fluxos de lava e produtos piroclásticos emitidos por uma ou mais condutas.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"&gt;&lt;span style="color:#cc66cc;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Contexto Tectónico:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt; limites destrutivos.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="color:#cc66cc;"&gt;Historial da actividade vulcânica:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt; a sua última erupção ocorreu em 15 de Junho de 1991, lançando para a atmosfera toneladas de cinzas e gases e com a morte de cerca de 800 pessoas.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"&gt;&lt;span style="color:#cc66cc;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Curiosidades/Observações:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt; O movimento é causado pela liberação rápida de grandes quantidades de energia sob a forma de ondas sísmicas.A maior parte dos sismos ocorrem nas fronteiras entre placas tectónicas, ou em falhas entre dois blocos rochosos.
